Fees and Rebates

Current Fees

Sunrise Clinical Psychology provides rebated sessions through Medicare and Private Health Insurance, or fully funded sessions under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), and Work Cover.

At Sunrise, we want to make sure you are receiving the very best treatment for your needs. Fees therefore are charged to ensure we have the capacity to work with you in a individualised way, with quality in mind. Fees cover not only the time taken in session, but the required administration that accompanies sessions (this is one reason that different schemes are different prices), and the ongoing research, learning, professional development and time spent outside of session to ensure you are gaining tailored help with the best possible outcomes.

Medicare Session with Clinical Psychologist (50-60min)

$210/session Rebate amount $129.55

With a mental health care plan and referral from a GP, you are entitled to up to 10 rebated sessions per calendar year.

Private Health Insurance Session with Clinical Psychologist (50-60min)

$210/session

Private health insurers may also rebate part of the cost of psychological consultations. Contact your health insurance provider for further information.

NDIS funded appointment, self managed or plan managed (60 min)

$214.44/session

We provide Therapy Supports including psychological therapy and assessment. The fees are set by the National Disability Insurance Agency and come out of your NDIS Plan (under Improved Daily Living). The NDIS therapy rate for psychology is $214.41 per session and there is no cost or gap fee for participants.

Worker Compensation

Psychological treatment through the Workers Compensation system is covered by your insurance company, depending on their approval of sessions. Talk to your insurer and get a referral from your GP (Nominated Treating Doctor) before making an appointment.
